Traces of archaeology
Even Caesar was fascinated by the Ancient Veneti. He described them as the most powerful people on the maritime coast. Traces left by them can be found in the museums of Treviso, Oderzo and Montebelluna.
The Lombard King Alboin conquered Treviso in 569 and allowed the Bishop Felix to keep all of his church’s assets: this marked the start of the Lombard Era.
